In this class, students explore the basic elements of art— line, shape, color, texture, form, and space —through hands-on, engaging projects that make each concept feel real and exciting. Instead of just learning definitions, students experiment with each element by creating their own artwork, like using bold lines to show movement, mixing colors to discover new shades, or building textured pieces they can actually feel. Each lesson introduces a new element with a guided activity, followed by time to explore and apply it in a more open-ended way, helping students connect skills to their own ideas. The class is designed to build a strong creative foundation while keeping the process fun, interactive, and student-driven, so kids leave not only understanding how art works, but feeling confident using it to express themselves.
